Mark Gibson is head of the newly established ConnectEd Programme in Teagasc and also has responsibility for strategic communications. In 2016, he was a director of the highly successful national centenary event, ‘Farming and Country Life 1916’. Prior to this, Mark was Environment Specialist with Teagasc, where he led a number of national projects on Climate Change and the Water Framework Directive. He is a former director at the GRD LEADER Company in Galway and is currently director of community development company in Galway. Mark is a former member of the ministerial ‘Committee for the Improved Uptake of Technology in Agriculture’ and is also former president of the Irish Society of Information Technology in Agriculture.
Mark is a graduate of University College Dublin and holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Masters in Environmental Resource Management.
